A rainy day in Stockholm, then the coming trip to Colombo is welcomed. The council will be represented at the coming WEDF in Colombo and Swedish companies will also visit the Boat Fair in Colombo.

The council has got new members and we have also been glad to welcome old members back.

Please save the date 25th November when we together with some important partners will arrange a breakfast seminar about doing business with Sri Lanka. This time it will take place in Stockholm.

 We are also glad to notice that more and more Swedish businesspeople are contacting us for information and knowledge about how do business with Sri Lanka. We are more than happy to assist.

Framgångspodden intervjuar Jan Höjman, VD, Tailor Store och styrelseledamot i SSLBC

Tailor Store verkar i en egen unik nisch i en klädbranschen. Det finns ingen uppsydd kollektion. Alla kläder sys upp på kundens beställning och det finns möjlighet att själv sätta sin prägel på plaggen i e-handelns designverktyg. Produktionen sker i eget skrädderi på Sri Lanka med schyssta arbetsvillkor. Det innebär att Tailor Store producerar kläder utan kompromisser. “Kläderna passar och folk kommer tillbaka.” berättar Jan Höjman i programmet.

Govt. to build a New six lane bridge over Kelani River

Sri Lankan government has taken steps to build a new six-lane bridge over the Kelani River adjacent to the existing Kelani Bridge (Japan Friendship Bridge) at a cost of Rs. 45 billion linking the Colombo-Katunayake Expressway (CKE) and Baseline road and the construction is due to begin in January 2017, the Ministry of Highways and Investment Promotion revealed.
