Newsletter from Sweden-Sri Lanka Business Council

 

Sweden is currently slowly returning back to normal after the holiday season. It has been a very active summer from the business council perspective two visits have been taken place in Colombo with a number of interesting meetings with relevant companies and government authorities.

The interest for Sweden-Sri Lanka business is also picking up in the aftermath of Foreign Minister Wallströms visit Sri Lankan earlier this year.

The Hon.Minister Harin Fernando, Minister for IT- & Telecommunication, has visited Stockholm and met many people. One them the Swedish Minister for Housing and IT, Mr Peter Eriksson.

The coming week FORMEX fair starts in Stockholm and two companies from Sri Lanka will exhibit (Kandygs and Dankotuwa).

In this newsletter there are a number of articles about infrastructure projects in Sri Lanka and also about different countries are doing -for example Singapore.

Take the opportunity to download material about the Megapolis project. This is just one of many projects were Swedish companies can find business.

There are also number of fairs coming in Colombo. In most of the cases there are possibilities to good prices on flight tickets via the organisers and most often hotel accommodation will be provided. You however, need to contact the Sri Lankan Embassy in Stockholm before. 

Representatives from the business council will be in Sri Lanka as follows;

Sweden-Sri Lanka Business Council
