SSLBC meets Megapolis

SSLBC sec.gen Leif I Ohlson in Colombo met with Additional Secretary Madhawa Waidayaratna from Minstry of Megapolis and Western Development.

During the meeting Mr Waidayaratna and his collegaues from Team Megapolis informed about the project and various opportunites there are for investments from Swedish companies.

Mr Ohlson informed about SSLBC and how the council can assist in sharing information about the project in Sweden.

SSLBC meets Ministry of Telecommunication

SSLBC Sec.gen Mr Leif I Ohlson on Tuesday 28th June in Colombo met with Mr Wasantaha Deshapriya, Secretary, Ministry of Telecommunication and Digital Infrastructure.

Also present at the meeting was Mr Upendra Mudugamuwa, Advisor to the Hon. Minister for Telecommunication and Digital Infrastructure.

The meeting focused a coming visit by the Hon.Minster to Sweden and also how Sri Lanka IT can and should be better presented in Sweden.



SSLBC Secretary General Mr Leif I Ohlson met Chairperson Mrs Indira Malwatte of Sri Lankan Export Develoment Board (EDB).

The discussion during the meeting touched on of several important areas. One was the upcoming World Export Development Forum 2016 in Colombo.
Mr Ohlson emphasised that SSLBC would focus the coming months in order to use the opportunity that the Forum represents to inform about the possibilities in Sri Lanka and the products which are suitable the Swedish market.

This will be done in close cooperation with the Commercial Section of the Sri Lankan Embassy in Stockholm.

The purpose of Sweden Sri Lanka Business Council (SSLBC) is to promote business, friendship, goodwill and understanding between Sweden and Sri Lanka through personal networks and contacts.
